Privacy Policy
Last updated July 14, 2026
RepNaut is built to work entirely on your own devices. This policy explains, in plain language, what that means for your data.
The short version
- RepNaut has no server and no account system. There is nothing for us to store on your behalf, because we never receive your data.
- Everything you log — people, workouts, exercises, body metrics, photos — is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
- If you enable iCloud sync, your data is mirrored to your own private CloudKit database, the same private-per-Apple-ID storage used by apps like Notes and Reminders. We cannot see it, and neither can anyone but you and the people signed into that iCloud account.
- RepNaut contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers of any kind.
Information we collect
None, directly. RepNaut does not operate any servers that receive, log, or process your workout data, personal information, or usage activity. The app does not ask for your name, email address, or any account credentials.
Information stored on your device and in your iCloud
The following stays entirely within Apple's SwiftData/CloudKit storage on your device and, if iCloud sync is enabled, your private iCloud account:
- Names and photos of the people you add (e.g. household members)
- Workout sessions, exercises, sets, weights, reps, and cardio minutes
- Body metrics you choose to log, such as weight and height
- Custom exercises, regiments, and exercise instructions you create or edit
This data is protected the same way any of your private iCloud data is: it's encrypted in transit and accessible only to the Apple ID it's signed into. Apple's own privacy policy governs iCloud and CloudKit; RepNaut simply uses that system and has no separate access to it.
Photos
If you add a photo for someone in the app, it's stored the same way as everything else — locally and, if enabled, in your private iCloud. RepNaut does not upload photos anywhere else.
Printing and exporting
RepNaut can generate a PDF report of your workouts, or a CSV export of your workout history. Both are created entirely on your device and handed to Apple's standard system print/share sheet — the same one used by every other app on your phone. Where that file goes next (AirPrint, saving to Files, sharing with someone) is entirely your choice; RepNaut has no part in it after that point.
Third parties
RepNaut does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services. The only external service involved is Apple's own iCloud/CloudKit, used solely to sync your data between your own devices.
Children's privacy
RepNaut is designed to be used by a whole household, which may include children's workout data entered by a parent or guardian. Because that data never leaves the device (or the household's own private iCloud account), it is never collected, viewed, or processed by us.
Deleting your data
Deleting a person, workout, or exercise inside the app removes it immediately from your device and, if sync is on, from your iCloud. Uninstalling the app removes the local copy; your iCloud copy (if any) can be removed from Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Since RepNaut doesn't collect contact information, we're not able to notify you directly — check back here if you'd like to stay current.
